Romain Jacquet-Lagreze grew up in France where he studied multimedia engineering. Doing photography and drawing as a hobby, he quickly was attracted by Chinese and Japanese traditional painting.
But his biggest influence came from a Japanese hip-hop artist called Nujabes. This passion for Japan lead him to fly to Tokyo in 2009 where he could find great inspiration for 6 months. In 2009, he moved to Hong Kong and since then he is trying to capture the essence of this city with photographs and graphic art.
